Not too much of excitement is happening these days. Today I had a raising-cinnamon toast with almond butter for breakfast, Sashenika had some buckwheat kasha and Gulya and Kostik were on their own – I don't supervise their breakfasts. I am happy that Kostik had started eating breakfast to begin with. His metabolism is very low and hopefully eating breakfasts regularly will help speed it up.
For lunch Sashenika had some soup and fruit, I had a salad and some chicken and Kostik was forced to eat pizza at his office. He said he only had one slice and I am very proud of him. What Gulya had for lunch remains a mystery; she said she ate, so I am content with that.
Our lives have changed ever since we had gotten our new addition to the family. Grey is adorable, I only have two possible reasons for concern. He pees where he pleases - primarily in my bedroom and he is not a very good eater. I cooked some soup for him as he refused to eat dog food and he seemed to like it. But he never finishes his meals and I wonder if I should worry. May be we could discover a bakery somewhere in our area, which will have stuff for everyone in our family!! Wegmans is a possible candidate.
Sashenika seems to like Grey, although I expected more excitement from her. She loves playing with his crate though, makes attempts to climb on top of it and tries to swing on its door. I gently let her know that this is not a toy. She also mimics sounds that Grey makes when he is confined in his crate and I explain that the doggy is actually upset so this is not something she has to have fun with.
I had a dentist appointment in the evening, so dinner was definitely delayed for me. I came home, caught just enough time to put Sashenika to bed and then ate. I had some chicken and mashed potatoes – compliments of Gulya’s cooking. Kostik had the same when he came home later that evening. Grey peed in my bedroom again and now both of them are in trouble. The ultimatum has been issued: one of them is NOT to enter my room until he is housebroke (guess who that is) and if this is not followed, the other one will be issued the same ultimatum. I think I should just set up a little area downstairs with some training pads for both of them if this continues.
